Marketing BIG in a small temporary space, the innovative Phillips Collection of High Point received unexpected honors as the “Best of Show” for its 100-square foot booth at the acclaimed Hospitality Design show in Las Vegas.
You’ve got to know to show,” says Mark Phillips, president of the decorative accessories marketing company. “We defied all the people who complain not much can be done in small spaces.”
Whether a temporary or a permanent showroom, the emphasis on visual marketing needs to prevail, a verity Phillips quickly acknowledges.
“We wanted to test this amazing show, and realized that, like our own accessories, we needed to create a show-stopping show space that attracted attention and stimulated desire from prospects.
“Though the space was small, projecting a big idea and opportunity was our objective we seized on and promoted. Even with our commitment, we were really surprised at the official juried recognition by the HD show itself,” he says.
Phillips worked with his exclusive designer, Yuri Zatarain, whose creativity and vision produced a Pinnacle Design Achievement Award for the company in the accessories category.
The Phillips Collection maintains permanent showrooms in High Point, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and London.

It rings true that "Necessity is the mother of invention." Even in the furniture business. Bravo!
