High Point is serious about pushing around its weight. As the biggest furniture market with the highest concentration of major showrooms, planners are under pressure to consider innovative ways to disrupt and demphasize the potential rival Las Vegas Market.
Right now, High Point is still on top in size and scope, an indisputable fact that keeps the biggest retailers coming back.
Given that verity, what if High Point decides to stage a January 2007 premarket? And then again in July 2007? That and other ballsy tactics are under consideration as demonstrative ways of leveraging High Point's current strength.
Should a 2007 Pre-Market occur concurrently with January and July 's Las Vegas Mrket, the caldendar confluence could mean the major, big hitter retailers would be in North Carolina and not Nevada.
Such a gutsy move that would cause some heartburn in Las Vegas.
